Watermark PNG images

Text with a soft shadow or your own logo, placed in a corner, in the middle, or tiled diagonally across the whole picture. Sizes are relative, so one setting fits a mixed batch.

questions

Can the logo be transparent?
Yes. Use a PNG logo with transparency; only its visible parts are stamped.
Tiled watermarks: can they be removed?
Harder than a corner stamp, not impossible. A tiled, semi-transparent mark over the subject is the most robust option here.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The whole tool runs in your browser tab. Files never leave your device.
Is it really private?
Yes. The tool is code that runs in your browser tab. Your PNGs are never sent to a server. Open the network tab and check. Nobody is watching. Goon in peace.

Text or logo, once or everywhere

Text gets a soft shadow so it reads on light and dark areas alike; a logo keeps its transparency. Corner and centre placements are for a signature; the tiled pattern repeats the mark diagonally across the whole image, which is what stock sites do because it is far harder to crop or paint out.

Sizes that fit a mixed batch

Text size, logo width and margins are set as percentages of the image, not pixels, so a 600-pixel thumbnail and a 6000-pixel original get proportionally the same mark.
