how to edit a PNG online

How do I remove the background?
Pick the wand and click the background; every connected pixel of that colour becomes transparent. Raise the tolerance for gradients, lower it for tight edges, add a soft edge for smooth cut-outs. "remove background" does it from all four edges in one go. For anything the wand cannot reach, paint with the eraser.
Can I hide a face, a name or a licence plate?
Yes. Drag a pixelate or blur box over it. Both are burned into the pixels on export, so nothing can be undone by the person receiving the file.
What about meme text?
The text tool has a "meme mode" button: Impact, white with a black outline. Type, drag the corners to size it, rotate with the handle on top.
Does it keep transparency?
PNG and WebP keep it. JPG cannot, so transparent areas get white, or the background colour you set under size & frame.
Will it work on a big photo?
Yes. Colour sliders preview on a smaller copy while you drag and render at full size when you let go. Export is always full resolution.
Is it really private?
Yes. The tool is code that runs in your browser tab. Your PNGs are never sent to a server. Open the network tab and check. Nobody is watching. Goon in peace.
