Pixel size, megapixels and aspect ratio; file size and type; whether the alpha channel is actually used and how much of the image is see-through; the number of unique colours; for PNG the colour type, bit depth, interlacing, palette size, DPI, gamma, colour profile and every chunk and text field; for JPG whether it is progressive, its chroma subsampling, DPI and which metadata blocks are present; and the six dominant colours.
A "transparent" PNG whose alpha is all opaque can be stored as RGB and shrink; a 16-bit PNG from a scanner is twice the size it needs to be; a photo with EXIF still carries its location; a print file at 72 DPI will be printed tiny. The report file lets you keep or share the facts.
