Add a border or padding to a PNG

A white frame for a photo print, a thin dark line around a screenshot, breathing room around a logo. The border is added outside the image, so nothing is covered.

questions

Does the image get smaller?
No. The canvas grows by the border and padding on every side; your pixels stay as they are.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The whole tool runs in your browser tab. Files never leave your device.
Is it really private?
Yes. The tool is code that runs in your browser tab. Your PNGs are never sent to a server. Open the network tab and check. Nobody is watching. Goon in peace.

Frames, mats and breathing room

The border is added outside the picture, never over it. Padding sits between the picture and the border, like a mat around a print, and can be a colour or transparent. Rounded corners apply to the whole frame. Use it to give screenshots a thin dark line, to put a white polaroid frame around photos, or to pad logos to a fixed shape.
