questions

What if the image has no transparency?
Nothing changes, you get the same picture back in the chosen format.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The whole tool runs in your browser tab. Files never leave your device.
Is it really private?
Yes. The tool is code that runs in your browser tab. Your PNGs are never sent to a server. Open the network tab and check. Nobody is watching. Goon in peace.

When you need this

JPG cannot store transparency, printers turn it into whatever they like, and some apps show a black box where you expected nothing. Flattening onto a colour first gives you control. Pick white for documents, a brand colour for logos, or sample one with the editor’s eyedropper.
